Take Care of Yourself
Flu season is just around the corner, and COVID cases are on the rise in Colfax County.  Below is some great information to help boost your immune system and stay healthy.

Maintain a healthy diet.  Eat foods high in:

·         Vitamin B6, found in chicken, salmon, tuna, bananas, green vegetables and potatoes (with the skin)

·         Vitamin C, found in citrus fruit, including oranges and strawberries, as well as tomatoes, broccoli and spinach

·         Vitamin E, found in almonds, sunflower and safflower oil, sunflower seeds, peanut butter and spinach

Exercise Regularly

Get enough sleep

Minimize Stress

Hydrate:   Staying hydrated can boost your immune health too.  Water helps you body produce lymph, which carries white blood cells and other immune system cells.  Try to avoid overdoing beverages that can make you dehydrated, like coffee  Or try eating more hydrating foods, such as cucumbers, celery or watermelon.

Clean high touch areas frequently: Phones, appliances, faucets, light switches, door handles, steering wheels, tv remotes.
